Azursoft and DYDU: Audio AI Automates Alarm Verification

Published on7 Sep

When an alarm system is triggered, the operator often has to call several people one after another. The alert may have been caused by a motion detector, a forced door or a false alarm. The site manager, an on-call employee or sometimes a company executive must be contacted to verify the situation and provide a security code.

This is a necessary step before the alarm can be verified and an intervention initiated. If the first person does not answer, the operator has to call the next person. This is a repetitive and time-consuming task. It requires human resources for a process that is almost always identical.

Azursoft is announcing a partnership with Dydu, a company of the Zaion Group. The objective is to integrate an audio AI module into Horus, our remote monitoring software, to automate this telephone verification process.

Telephone Alarm Verification: A Recurring Workload for Operators

Remote monitoring services operate 24/7. In a remote monitoring centre, every alarm follows the same verification process, which may have to be repeated several times if contacts do not answer, whether during the day or at night, including during periods with fewer operators on duty.

The issue is not the complexity of the call itself, but how often it has to be made. An operator may spend several minutes working through a call list for an event that ultimately requires no intervention. This is time that cannot be spent analysing situations that genuinely require attention.

For security systems designed for remote monitoring, this time remains valuable.

DYDU, a Conversational AI Platform from the Zaion Group

A pioneer in conversational AI since 2009, Dydu enables its customers to independently design their own chatbots and callbots: agents capable of interacting both in writing and orally, over the phone. In March 2026, Dydu joined Zaion, a French specialist in voice AI founded in 2017. Together, the two companies now cover both written and voice communication channels, with technology designed, developed and hosted in France.

At Azursoft, we look for partners with genuine expertise in their field. DYDU has met this requirement since 2009. It is also a French company, with governance and technology hosted in France. For our remote monitoring customers, this is an important consideration.

An Audio AI Module Integrated into Horus to Automate Call Cascades

In practical terms, when an alarm requires verification, Horus automatically initiates the call. It dials the first contact on the on-call list. Dydu’s voice agent then starts the conversation using a natural, human-like voice.

It explains the reason for the call and requests the expected confirmation, such as a security code. If the person answers and confirms the information, it is recorded directly in Horus.

No further action is required. If no one answers, the next call is automatically placed to the following contact. The operator does not have to intervene until a response is obtained or the contact list has been exhausted.

Alarm verification can be carried out by telephone or through a physical intervention. The Dydu integration automates telephone alarm verification, not physical intervention. If the situation remains uncertain, a security officer can still be dispatched to the site. Emergency services can also be alerted when necessary, enabling a rapid response in the event of a genuine threat.

Audio AI Can Also Handle Incoming Calls

The same conversational agent can also be used in the other direction. A customer or service user can call to ask a question. Dydu’s AI can handle several calls simultaneously and qualify each request.

Depending on the situation, it can either provide an answer directly or transfer the call to an operator. The operator then receives the information already collected.

The objective is the same as for outgoing calls: automate what can be automated.

Conversations in Multiple Languages

Dydu’s voice agent can also conduct conversations in several languages. Two to three languages can be handled within the same call flow. This is particularly useful for centres managing sites or service users who do not speak French.

Remote Monitoring and Teleassistance: Two Activities Supported by Audio AI

The most immediate use case is remote monitoring. On-call call cascades are part of operators’ daily work.

But home teleassistance can also benefit from the technology. The same principles apply: automated calls, natural conversations, request qualification and transfer to a human operator when necessary. These capabilities can be used for interactions with service users and their relatives.

An Integration Available Now

This module complements the AI capabilities already available in Horus. As with Azursoft’s other automation features, the objective is not to replace operators. It is about reducing repetitive tasks, allowing them to remain focused on situations that require human judgement.

Frequently Asked Questions About Audio AI and Alarm Verification

It is a telephone call used to verify an alarm before deciding whether an intervention is required.

No. It automates the verification call quickly and efficiently. Physical intervention remains the responsibility of a security officer when required.

Yes. The same principles can be applied to calls with service users.

The call is transferred to a human operator, together with the context and information already collected.
